We would like to draw your attention to the fact that a number of days have been equated with a public holiday by the Minister of Justice and Security by Royal Decree. This means that on these days, just like on public holidays, we cannot, in principle, issue any writs for you.

For the sake of convenience, here is an overview so that you have knowledge of these days and it is therefore no surprise that we (without leave on all days and hours) are not allowed to serve any writs on these days, also intended to prevent (fatal) errors and/or prevent reparation.

It might be good to distribute this within your office and/or mention this in your office/Outlook agenda, so that these dates are known.

Writ-free days and/or equivalent thereto:

Day Date
Friday April 3rd 2026
Sunday April 5th 2026
Monday April 6th 2026
Monday April 27th 2026
Tuesday May 5th 2026
Thursday May 14th 2026
Friday May 15th 2026
Sunday May 24th 2026
Monday May 25th 2026
Friday December 25th 2026
Saturday December 26th 2026

So always be on your guard. We are of course always alert to all deadlines and will keep an eye on them with you to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Please feel free to call our office or one of my office colleagues if you have any questions about your terms within which your writ or when your writ must be done (at the latest).

As usual, you can also contact us with all your other execution questions (24/7).

Duly noted!

J.S. Evers, bailiff.
